Literature Text

As the close comes near,
Eyes flash with fear,
Combing the black
Never able to go back.

My pupils adjust
To what is unjust
And peer and them,
Reciting my hymns.

Teeth bared without regret-
What a sight I won’t forget.
I will forever recollect
Being genetically incorrect.

Relief courses through me,
And I climb down my tree.
I repel from my cover,
And leave, in peace, to meet my lover.

I'm envious of anyone who can write poetry that rhymes.
